As Pakistanis around the world celebrate Pakistan Defense day, let’s strengthen our resolve to defend Pakistan from its worst enemies, who can be found thriving within its borders.

Enemies that have enveloped us with the cloak of darkness, fixed our mindset, and dulled our vision.

Enemies that have stunted our growth by sucking our nation’s veins of the blood of prosperity.

Enemies that have stripped naked lady justice and flogged her in public.

Enemies that have crushed our courage and weakened our belief.

Enemies that rule poor masses leaving them destitute and illiterate with no freedoms under feudal control.

Enemies that have snatched from us our ability to think, plan and act.

Enemies that have metastasized the cancer of corruption in all organs of the nation’s body.

Enemies that have imprisoned meritocracy and accountability.

Enemies that regularly destabilize political power.

Enemies that play god and spill innocent blood on the streets.

Enemies that amass wealth in foreign countries with the loot of our nation.

Enemies that have eroded our trust in each other.

Enemies that have divided us based on religion, ethnicity, and social class.

Enemies that have replaced our dignity with the begging bowl.
